One innocuous night Blaine falls asleep in Kurt’s arms on the couch. It’s nothing special. Just another night. But like every other late night in front of the television, they’re pressed close. This time, Blaine’s back to Kurt’s chest, their arms crossed and their fingers entwined.

And in a dream, Blaine pulls Kurt’s hand to his mouth and nuzzles there, presses his lips into his knuckles and keeps breathing, hot and wet, and then doesn’t move another inch.

All Kurt can think are those fingers, the ones tangled with his…

They’re the ones that tugged at his collar the day they met. And wrapped around his shoulder and his hand and passed him his coffee almost every day since.

And it’s a hot thrill to know he’s come around those fingers and from them and over them. Giggling and breathless and swearing and calling Blaine’s name.

His own fingers have done all that to Blaine. And more. There’s always going to be more.

And that’s when he decides that one day there will be metal bands to remind him. Even when Blaine isn’t holding tight and breathing him in, there’ll be something binding them and their hands and the touch of their fingertips. Constant and Forever.
